We’re the kind of people who absolutely LOVE Thanksgiving turkey. In fact, we’re also the family who can be found in the supermarket two or three days after Thanksgiving buying on-sale turkey. So, needless to say, we often eat loads of turkey around this time of year. I’m always on the lookout for fun and easy ways to add all our leftover turkey into meals and snacks, and when a representative from Stella Cheese contacted me for a campaign opportunity, my husband’s brain hatched a brand new recipe.
“Turkey-tizers.” He said simply. I was instantly hooked on the name! “Tell me more!”
The idea, though brilliant, had no way of being better than the outcome itself. I mean, seriously, such an explosion of flavor! When he first brought me the tray of turkey-tizers, I was a little skeptical to say in the least. I mean, he knew I didn’t like olives. But, if you saw me putting these guys away the other day, you’d swear I ate olives by the jarful.
This simple little snack takes less than 10 minutes to make, and is great for serving at a party, or just for enjoying at home in front of a movie. The deep, savory, and earthy flavors of the mushroom and the Romano cheese blend so well together, with the olive being as vital as icing on a cake. The turkey, being such a lean protein, carries the flavors so well, and the cracker simply ties it all together.

So, this recipe really is as easy as stacking everything like you would when you made Lunch-ables as a kid. We did cracker, mushroom, turkey, cheese, olive. and then a toothpick to hold it all together.
After eating a few of them raw, which was delicious, we decided to take it a step further and toss them under the broiler for about 3 minutes. The results were a delectable mouthful of cheesy heaven.
As easy as they are to make though, nothing compares to the record speeds they were eaten.
Besides delectable cheeses, Stella is also offering a free trip to Napa Valley, California for one lucky winner. You’d be silly to miss out on an opportunity like that!!
Until next time,
